Religious Tuesday, December 17, 2019

Hanukkah, the Jewish eight-day festival of lights, begins Sunday, Dec. 22.
Jews observe the holiday by lighting a candle each night on a candelabra called a menorah, by saying special prayers and enjoying traditional dishes.
In Miami Lakes, Rabbi Mendel Weiss of
Chabad Jewish Center will light a menorah outside of town hall on Monday, Dec. 23.
The public is invited to the celebration that will begin at 6 p.m. at
6601 Main St.
There will be donuts and potato pancakes served, a dancing Menorah Man, a DJ and other activities for children.
