Miami Lakes Athletic Club supports cancer care, education

     The Miami Lakes Athletic Club donated $500 to the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative on Dec. 18. 

The athletic club held events in October to raise awareness about breast cancer and accept members’ donations for the cause. The money will be used to support The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative’s efforts to provide mammograms and scans to women, part of its mission to intervene early against the disease. The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative is headquartered in Miami Lakes.
