The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its next luncheon for Wednesday, May 11 at the Miami Lakes Hotel on Main.

The guest speaker is Annette Hungler, program manager for the Humanities, Health and Society at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University in Miami.

A Miami Laker, Hungler is an expert in sales and marketing management, according to the chamber.

Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. The hotel is at 6842 Main St. in Miami Lakes.

During the previous luncheon held April 13, the chamber and members of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council remembered the council’s late President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Finney, 65, who died unexpectedly on April 3.

Finney had been scheduled to speak at the April meeting and drew great interest from the business community that had hoped to hear his comments.

Finney led the county’s economic development agency for five years.

He was lauded as a visionary and bridge builder by the council.
