Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s golf tournament raises money for local charities

     The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce charity golf tournament drew 22 teams to the Country Club of Miami on March 14. 

     It raised $8,830 that will be donated to Angels Reach Foundation Inc., The Arc of South Florida, Zonta Club of Miami Lakes, GiGi’s Playhouse and 4Kids Miami

     Chamber President Ray Palacios said it will donate an additional $1,500 to each charity. 

     The Morera Law Group team – firm owner and Miami Lakes Vice Mayor Bryan Morera, Fred Lamb, Austin Gomez and Jonathan Manoy -- won the tournament. 

      Winners received a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with custom engraved plates. 

     Austin Gomez also won the Longest Drive competition.

     Eddie Perez with the Greenspoon Marder law firm’s team won the Putting Contest. 

     Jose Mendez of the Ana G. Mendez University team won the Closest to the Pin challenge.
