Miami Lakes area churches have scheduled a variety of special service events for Easter.
New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC) has scheduled “The Story,” an Easter musical retelling of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation, that will be showing on the big screen on Saturday, April 12 at the NTBC Broward Campus at 13900 Griffin Road in Southwest Ranches.
“The Story” will also be showing on Thursday, April 17, at the Main Street Cobb Movie Theatre at 6711 Main Street, and Saturday, April 19, at the NTBC Miami-Dade location at 6601 N.W. 167 Street.
Additionally, a Good Friday service will be held on April 18 at noon. Easter Sunday on April 20, NTBC will be celebrating the resurrection with a 7 a.m. sunrise service outdoors, and two indoor services at 9 and 11 a.m.

Palm Vista Community Church has been serving the community of Miami Lakes for 17 years. The church meets at Miami Lakes Middle School's auditorium at 6425 Miami Lakeway North at 10 a.m. each Sunday.
On Sunday, April 13, the church will hold its Palm Sunday service at 10 a.m. on the triumphal entry of Christ. Baptisms will be conducted following the service.
On Friday, April 18, the church will hold its Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m. focusing on the crucifixion of Christ.
On Easter Sunday, April 20, the church will have a special service at 10 a.m. celebrating the resurrection of Christ with a sermon entitled "Jesus is Alive!"

Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, located at 15801 N.W. 67 Avenue, is holding English masses on Palm Sunday, April 13, at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5:30 p.m. preceded by a vigil at 5 p.m. Spanish mass will be held at 8 a.m., 12:45 and 7 p.m.
The Tuesday of the Holy Week, April 15, will have confessions from 7 to 9 p.m. and Holy Thursday, April 17, will have a bilingual mass of the Last Supper at 8 p.m.
On Good Friday, April 18, a traditional Stations of the Cross will be held in English at 10 a.m. and again in Spanish at 11 a.m. A devotional service to the Divine Mercy in English with recitation of the Chaplet will be held in Spanish at noon and in English at 2:30 p.m. Following, a Good Friday Reflection sermon will be held at 4 p.m. and a bilingual liturgy of the Lord's passion is at 6 p.m.
Holy Saturday, April 19, will have a bilingual liturgy of the Easter vigil at 8 p.m.
Easter Sunday masses include those in English at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5:30 p.m. and those in Spanish at 8 a.m., 12:45 and 7 p.m.

The Church of the Epiphany, previously known as St. Margaret’s and St. Francis of Asis Episcopal Church, located at 15650 Miami Lakeway North, is holding Good Friday, Palm Sunday and Easter services in addition to its regularly scheduled sermons on Sundays and Bible studies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Passion Sunday, April 6, will offer a Spanish Holy Eucharist service at 9 a.m. and an English Stations of the Cross and Holy Eucharist service at 10:30 a.m.
On Palm Sunday, April 13, a Spanish Palm Procession and Holy Eucharist will take place at 9 a.m. and an English service with a reading of the Crucifixion will follow at 10:30 a.m.
On Maundy Thursday, April 17, the church will hold a commemoration service at 7 p.m. on Jesus' last supper.
On Good Friday, April 18, the church is planning a liturgy in English at noon. Following that evening, an outdoor sunset service will be held on the field behind the church at 7 p.m. and is open to all members of the community.
On Holy Saturday, April 19, an 8 p.m. Easter Vigil and Holy Eucharist service will be held. On Easter Sunday, April 20, at 9 a.m. a Spanish Holy Eucharist service is scheduled and an English service will follow at 10:30 a.m. A children's Easter Egg Hunt will take place after the services.
