The Miami Lakes Town Council honored resident Pedro Fiallo for his dedication to the community. Fiallo serves on the Elderly Affairs Committee, the Veterans Committee and is an active member of American Legion Post 144, providing public relations services for the American Legion and Elderly Affairs Committees. On April 8 at Town Hall, he was joined by friends, relatives and members of the committees, Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Business Networking International.
“Government can’t help everyone, and this man fills that void,” Mayor Manny Cid said. Fiallo goes out of his way to help connect people with jobs and services, helps support business in the community, said Cid, who declared April 8 as Pedro Fiallo Day in the Town of Miami Lakes.
“I wouldn’t be up here without that man there…he’s become my mentor,” said Tico Casamayor, president of public relations for the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Fiallo thanked his family, his wife, friends and the service organizations.
