For Children:
Chess Club – Sharpen skills by playing other fans of this classic game. For ages 6 years and up. Meets at 3 p.m. on Saturdays, July 13 and 27.
Reading Ready Toddler Storytime – Stories, songs and activities for toddlers and their caregivers. For ages 18 months to 3 years old. Registration required. Meets at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, July 11 and 18.
Let’s Move @ The Library” Dancing Tweens! – Play Wii “Just Dance” and get fit while you show off your dance moves to popular music. For ages 9-12 years at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17.
Dig Into Reading: Digging a Garden – Enjoy creating a garden of leaves and flowers. Registration required. For ages 6-12 years at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
Dig Into Reading: Digging for Treasures – Enjoy a fun scavenger hunt and craft activity. For ages 6-12 years, registration required, at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10.
Dig Into Reading with Carrie Sue Ayvar! Program made possible by the Town of Miami Lakes Educational Advisory Board. For all ages at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
Dig Into Adventure with Geo Jane! Geo Jane takes children on a geological adventure full of stories, magic, comedy and audience participation. Learn new things about the world by reading into the past, and be inspired by the natural sciences. Program made possible by the Town of Miami Lakes Educational Advisory Board. For all ages at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.
For Teens:
Teen Club: Beneath the Surface – Teens ages 12-19 meet to play video games, watch anime, draw or discuss books. Meets at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, July 2 and 9.

For Adults:
Hispanic Book Club – A book discussion club for readers of Spanish literature. Discussions are held in Spanish. Meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
Office of Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr. Community Outreach – A staff member of Commissioner Bovo’s office will visit the library to discuss district issues at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 8.
Book Discussion Group – Monthly meetings to discuss books of interest. Contact the branch to find out the title of the book. Meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16.
Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Community Outreach – A member of Congressman Diaz-Balart’s staff will visit the library to discuss federal issues or any problem a constituent may have with a federal agency. Outreach is available from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24.
