 The Miami-Dade County Library branch in Miami Lakes is offering these in-person classes.  Space in classes is limited and registration may be required. 

Grogu Bobblehead -- May the Fourth be with You

Thurs., May 4  4 p.m. - 5 p.m. On Star Wars Day, use air-dried clay to sculpt your own Grogu, or Baby Yoda character. Materials will be provided. Presented by Kidcreate Studio. Made possible by the Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board.  Ages 8 - 12. 

Homework Help and Tutoring 

Sat., May 6; 13; 20; 27. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Free Comic Book Day

Pick up a free comic book and browse the collection that may be borrowed. Comics available while supplies last.

Talking is Teaching: Talk, read, sing for toddlers in dos idiomas

Tues., May 9; 16; 23; 30  11 a.m. - Noon.  Stories, songs and activities for toddlers and caregivers in English and Spanish.

Flowerpot Painting - Celebrate Older Americans Month

Wed., May 10  3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Learn tips to paint a pot and take it home, along with a free seed packet to grow your own flowers. Materials will be provided. Ages 55+.

Bingo Bash

Thurs., May 11. 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Play the game and make friends. Ages 50+.

Mini Zen Garden Making

Wed., May 17 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Use real plants,  stones, soil and sand to create your own mini Japanese garden.  Presented by Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens and made possible 

by the Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board.

Teen Advisory Board Anime & Manga Appreciation

4 p.m. - 5 p.m.  Join a discussion about favorite anime and manga selections, check out new titles. Ages 8 - 18.
