Miami Spice is underway, Aug. 1 - Sept. 30

Amazonia Nikkei and Korner 67 restaurants are participating in Miami Spice, the annual season when diners may enjoy three-course deals at South Florida restaurants.

 Lunches cost $35, dinners are $45 or $60. A third dining spot in town, ML Steaks + Sports, is calling its program Autumn Spice and its price is $45 per person.

 The bargains can be enjoyed until Sept. 30.

 Lunch appetizers are two Nigiris (sushi); spicy edamame or crispy shrimp in orange honey. Main course choices are salmon sushi rolls; short rib baos (buns) or seafood ceviche. Dessert is flan. 

    A $45 dinner offered Sunday - Thursday nights includes the Nigiris or spicy edamame, or chicken croquetas. Main dishes are tuna sushi roll, salmon sushi roll; New York strip steak or a mushroom risotto. Dessert is a Peruvian chocolate mousse or the flan.      

     The $60 option on Friday and Saturday nights has a crab sushi roll, salmon roll or short rib baos; grilled seafood pasta; braised short ribs or mushroom risotto for main dishes and the flan and chocolate mousse desserts.

     Korner 67 is offering either a brunch or lunch, for $35. The brunch on Saturday or Sunday has avocado or smoked salmon Eggs Benedict; wild mushroom and goat cheese toast or chicken yakitori in teriyaki sauce. Entrees are matcha French Toast; fried mini arepitas; scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions or a gruyere omelette brioche sandwich. Dessert is French macarons or mini French tart.

     Lunch is available Monday - Thursday and has truffle and shitake croquettes; yuzu Caesar salad; chicken yakitori or crispy tostones and crab salad appetizers. Entrees include French wild mussels and toast; pesto naan bread with gruyere and pear; Bolognese rigatoni; portobello tagliatelle or chicken scallopini. Desserts are the same as at brunch.  

     The $45 dinner on Monday - Thursday has truffle and shitake croquettes, French escargots or salmon mango roll appetizers. Grilled branzino, spinach ricotta ravioli; pear fiocchi or a wagyu smashed double burger are the entrees. Desserts are French mini tarts or a passion fruit Pavlova.

     Offered nightly is the $60 dinner. There are truffle and shitake croquettes; yuzu caesar salad; truffle hamachi tiradito or Coquilles St. Jacques appetizers. Entrees are Surf & Turf sushi roll with filet mignon and tempura shrimp; seafood risotto; braised short rib or grilled branzino. 

Mini French tarts or mini passion fruit Pavlova are the desserts.

      ML Steaks+Sports’ version of Miami Spice is its Autumn Spice, during the same time period. It has one three-course menu with one choice in each category, for $45 per person. 

     Starters are burrata, wedge or caesar salads, or chorizo queso dip. Entrees are grilled salmon; bone-in filet mignon; beef and chicken fajitas with bacon-wrapped shrimp; or Surf & Turf, steak tips and bacon-wrapped shrimp. Dessert is white chocolate bread pudding or New York cheesecake.
