The Miami Lakes Optimist Club will be holding registration for its Fall youth flag football program from 10 a.m. to noon on consecutive Saturdays, August 29, September 5 and September 12, at Miami Lakes Middle School, 6425 Miami Lakeway North.
The registration cost is $120 for new players and $100 for returning players.
Participants, ages 5 to 13, can also register on online at www.MIAflag.com from August 29 to September 12.
The cutoff birthdate is Tuesday, September 1.
Following the registration period, kids will participate in a mandatory skills clinic set for 10 a.m., Saturday, September 19, at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue.
The regular season starts September 19 and games will be played at the park.
Volunteers, coaches and team sponsors are needed.
Parents must be bring a copy of their kids’ birth certificates at the registration. Parents must bring the birth certificates at the skills clinic if they choose to register online.
