The Miami Lakes United Soccer Club has every reason to celebrate, after the Under 10 boys team won first place in the 2015 Disney Memorial Day Soccer Shootout 2015, while the U14 Boys finished in second place, and the U9 Boys finished in third place in the same tournament.
The soccer event took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
The Disney Memorial Day Soccer Shootout attracted more than 650 teams and featured 1,100 soccer matches during the three-day event.
In addition, the Miami Lakes United Soccer Club’s U13 girls finished in second place in the Shamrock Cup in Savannah, Georgia over the Memorial Day Weekend.
Before the teams traveled out of town to play, the organization held a ceremony on May 19 for the travel academy teams and Vicky Bakery, which sponsored the soccer teams, presented a beautiful and unique cake decorated with the Club’s color, logo and another layer of cake in the shape of a soccer ball on top the three-foot large sweet baked cake.
