MLK-8 student chosen for state orchestra

 Miami Lakes K-8 music teacher Elizabeth Urquiola, left, and 8th grader Sabella Scavuzzo are shown on campus. For the second year in a row, Sabella, 13, will perform the violin with the 2023 Florida All-State Middle School Orchestra on Jan. 14 in Tampa. Her sister Sabrina Scavuzzo, 16, a MLK-8 graduate who attends American Heritage High School, will play double bass with the All State Orchestra.
