Miami Lakes Neighborhood Improvement Committee (NIC) will hold a Community Forum at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, inside the Council chambers at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street.
The meeting will include a presentation of the Town’s new mobile app “Lakes Life,” and will also serve as the kickoff for Lake Quality Awareness Month. Information will be provided on the best management practices to maintain the cleanliness of lakes, and community service opportunities for high school students.
This is the third year the Town is celebrating August as Lake Quality Awareness Month. The designation was established by the NIC in order to raise awareness about the quality of lakes in Miami Lakes, and to recognize the important role the lakes play in the Town’s public image and recreational life.
