New Testament Baptist Church offers concert of prayer on August 22

Religious Tuesday, August 4, 2015

New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC), located at 6601 N.W. 167 Street, has been in the area of Miami Lakes for over 61 years proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church is celebrating the first annual “Concert of Prayer” starting at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, at Wooten Field, the football field at NTBC.

The Concert of Prayer is meant to unite church, school and community families in prayer. The event’s motto is “Pray Until God Answers.” Despite there being no music, the event is called a “concert” because of the many voices simultaneously calling out in prayer.

The idea for a Concert of Prayer was born out of the church’s desire for a spiritual revival to take place at the personal, family, church-wide, local, and national levels. The church says the power to heal hearts and minds is found in prayer as noted in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

The Concert of Prayer will be formatted in such a way that everyone can participate according to their comfort level. There will be moments of silent prayers, prayers led by pastors, prayers led by church leaders, prayers in groups, and individual prayer.

The event is open to all. For more information contact Pastor Ralph Rodriguez at 305-773-2031.
