Optimist baseball teams celebrate winning seasons

The Padres baseball team won the 8U Miami Lakes Optimist Division Championship. The kids won 21 games and lost just one game in the season, said team parent Clarisell De Cardenas, who is also the public information officer for the Town of Miami Lakes and supplied these photos. Showing off rings, the Padres are, front row from left: Lucas Collazo; Jay Chris Mora; Dylan Garcia; Tyler Terrero and Louis Nieves. The 6U Navy Marlins also played a terrific season, with 15 wins and one loss.
