History
The Celebrity Point condominium community is a five-story building with just 80 units. It was built by PMC Development Inc. in 1989.
It is located at 15969 Northwest 64th Avenue near Miami Lakeway North. The neighborhood is in the northeast section of Miami Lakes, east of Northwest 67th Avenue.
Residents whose units face toward the east have views of Lake Ruth.
Amenities
There are units with one bedroom and one bath, and two bedrooms and two baths.
Residents enjoy a community pool. And there are two elevators.
Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School and Miami Lakes Middle School are nearby.
The Windmill Gate Shopping Center, public library and Miami Lakes Optimist Park are all within walking distance.
The Palmetto Expressway and roads that lead to Interstate 75 are close, too.
Who lives there?
The community has a mix of long-time owners and young families.
Most residents own their homes; there is a small percentage of renters, according to Sunshine Management Services, which works for the homeowner’s association.
Marisa Brunetti has lived in Celebrity Point for almost 20 years.
“It’s excellent for families or anyone having children,” Brunetti said. “Everything that surrounds the neighborhood, the parks, schools and shopping centers, are close by.”
Brunetti said the neighborhood is a secure one. “We always feel very safe, even while walking late at night,” Brunetti said. Edelso Riveron, a Realtor with The Keyes Company, says Celebrity Point is tucked away between Miami Lakes Optimist Park, the Celebration Point condo community and Our Lady of the Lakes’ church and school campus.
“It offers wonderful lake views and is centrally located near dining, entertainment and other houses of worship.”
What does it cost?
There is currently a unit with two bedrooms and two baths listed for sale at $220,000, Riveron said.
Property owners pay $160 or $221 HOA fees each month, depending on the size of their condo, Sunshine Management Services said.
