Our Neighborhoods: Fountain Park Village

Community By Alexandra Herrera, Reporter Wednesday, August 17, 2022

Along Northwest 67 Avenue, across from Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue Station 1, is Fountain Park Village

The complex of townhomes were built parallel to the service road for the Palmetto Expressway, or Northwest 167 Street.  The southern side of the property borders the Loch Ness neighborhood.

Arrivals to 6700 - 6998 NW 67th Ave. are greeted by a fountain and manicured lawn.

    History

The townhome condominiums were built in 1992, according to the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser.

     Seventeen buildings hold multiple units.

Buildings have single-story and two-story units.

      Amenities

Juan C. Fernandez of Keller Williams Realty Miami Lakes says the community has a pool and recently installed new roofs and rust-colored awnings to match.

Owners park in front of the buildings. Some units have rear balconies or backyards.

Units have two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms and range from around 900 sq. ft. to 1,270 sq. ft.

The location is close to the Palmetto Expressway and good for commuters. Windmill Gate Shopping Center is across the street and has restaurants, salons and health care services.

The community is also within walking distance to Miami Lakes Optimist Park and the Miami-Dade County Public Library branch.

     What does it cost?

Currently, there is one unit for sale, a home with two bedrooms and two baths, Fernandez said.

It is 950 sq. ft, and is listed at $300,000.  Previous sales in 2021 ranged from around $247,000 to $300,000.

“There are not too many properties [for sale],” Fernandez said. “I had to go back a year because is not that large and there are not a lot of sales.”

     Who lives there?

“I would say it’s families,” Fernandez said.

Fernandez said that most people who live there are young families who are living in their starter homes.
