Royal Oaks Plaza is the largest shopping center in Miami Lakes, with 55 storefronts and 171,904 square feet of commercial space.

A Winn-Dixie grocery store is the largest storefront and plaza anchor.

The shopping center was built in 1987 and is opposite the entrance to the Palmetto Expressway.  It is managed by NAI Miami

Miami Lakes Veterinary Clinic is one of the original tenants at the Royal Oaks Plaza.

“It’s a prime location and it’s close to the highway,” said Cynthia Colina, office manager.

“It’s pretty central in Miami Lakes and we’ve helped the community with their pets,” Colina said. “Even patients that have moved continue to come to us.”

One popular dining spot is the Mayor’s Café, owned by Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid, Councilman Jeffrey Rodriguez and Danny Delgado.
