Monsignor Edward Pace High School’s SPE SALVI facti sumus group, students with documented disabilities receiving Catholic education to attain a special diploma, received very exciting news in the mail: A dedicated letter from President Obama.

The students, under the guidance of their teacher Jorge Rodriguez-Miralles, wrote letters to President Obama congratulating him on President’s Day and in celebration of Black History Month.

The President responded with a thoughtful and encouraging letter, stating that receiving letters “from young people like you inspires me each and every day." He ended the letter with wishes of a bright future and encouragement for the students to continue achieving great things.

The SPE SALVI students and Rodriguez-Miralles were thrilled upon receiving the letter and sharing the news with the Pace community.
