 The Miami-Dade County Library branch in Miami Lakes is closed for renovation. Patrons may visit the branch in Palm Springs North at 17601 NW 78th Ave. for classes.  

Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing for Toddlers en dos idiomas

Mon. April 13   11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Hear stories, sing songs, activities for kids and caregivers in English and Spanish.   Ages 18 mos. – 3.

Monthly Book Club  Wed., April 15  5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Book lovers discuss plots, characters and more. Call the branch for titles; copies will be on loan at the checkout desk. Ages 19+

Homework Help & Tutoring  Sat., April 18, 25  May 2  10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Certified teachers tutor students in reading, math and science for free, one-hour sessions. For grades K-12. Funded in part by The 

Children’s Trust. 

LEGO Club   Sat., April 18, 25  1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Participate in a LEGO stem challenge. Blocks will be supplied.  Ages 3 – 12.

Teen Library Advisory Committee  Fri., April 24  11 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Earn volunteer hours while making the library a better place for teens. Help choose books, plan and lead programs and learn new skills.   Ages 13 - 19.

Drop in Game Time: Board Games  Fri., April 24  4 p.m. – 5 p.m.   Meet for an hour of board games.  Ages 12+

Mind & Melody Kids! Autism Acceptance Month  Mon., April 27  11 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Mind&Melody presents an interactive music storytelling program for children of all abilities. Kids play instruments, participate in musical activities and storytelling, make music with each other and caregivers.  Up to age 5.
