Two Long-haired Dachshunds are doing their best to keep the Lake Hilda neighborhood free of lizards.
Mando, 3, shown above at left and Obi-Wan Kenobi, 7 months, live in Miami Lakes with Anisleydis Chenal, her fiance´ Adam Fowler and their daughters Mia, 7 and Charlie, 4 months.
“We are huge “Star Wars” fans so it was only fitting that we name them after our favorite characters,” Chenal said.
The pups take their roles as protectors very seriously, she said. They bark at the mail carrier and Amazon delivery person and are “the best companions anyone could ask for,” she said. “So smart and loving with a little bit of attitude.”
She’ll sometimes find the pair sitting in a chair sunning themselves, contemplating the lake or letting the wind blow through their hair, she said. “They have brought so much love and joy into our lives.”
