Sisu protects the property of Roque Gonzalez and Zory Gonzalez in Miami Lakes. The couple adopted the cat two years ago, after it was born in their driveway.
Ever since, he has lived on their covered patio at their home on the west side of town.
“He likes his freedom,” said Liliam Gonzalez-Wong, the couple’s daughter. “He has his little house there.”
Sisu is a Siamese cat with seal point markings and striking blue eyes that the breed is famous for. He climbs trees in the yard, plays with his owners’ grandchildren and likes to bat at palm fronds.
In an email, Roque Gonzalez called Sisu “adorable and iconic” and “one of a kind.”
