Maria Martinez has three furry dogs to keep her and her family company in their Miami Lakes home: Athena, 2, a miniature Australian Shepherd; Lola, 3, a Beagle and Bandita, 3, a Pomeranian.
“They’re all loved and spoiled,” Martinez said. “They’re sisters to the end. It’s very cute.”
Athena doesn’t like clutter and will bring items that aren’t in their proper place to her owners, Martinez said.
Lola struggles with epilepsy, and when a seizure may be coming, “Bandita starts acting really nervous and warns us,” Martinez said. “[Lola’s] medication seems to be working really well now.”
All three pups like to alert the family when the neighbors are outside, especially Lola who, true to her hound heritage will howl. The pets all shed, too.
“The robot vacuum is constantly picking up hair,” Martinez said.
