Sourdough the Goldendoodle is a go anywhere, do anything kind of pup.
He lives with the Senra family - Tania, Luis and their sons Sebastian, 13, and Lucas, 12 - and they take him everywhere.
He’s been photographed aboard a boat in the Florida Keys; in the family’s golf cart during jaunts around Miami Lakes; he joins the school carpool rides and frolics in the backyard, where he recently enjoyed cake at his birthday party.
Today Sourdough is 1.5 years old and weighs just 12 pounds. He’s named after Sourdough Sam, mascot of the NFL San Francisco 49ers. Luis Senra is a big fan of the team.
“He’s our third child,” Tania Senra said of their pet. “He is very loving. He loves attention, belly rubs and he looks for you all the time to caress him and give him love.”
When she asks her sons what they are thankful for, “they both say, ‘Sourdough,’” she said.
He’s an obedient boy.
“He enjoys his treats and does the sit, the roll,” she said. “... He loves to peek through the front door, and he can see who is here. He barks to let us know if somebody is at the door.”
