Meet Louie from Lake Katharine.
Louie is a four-year-old Labradoodle who is an avid lizard chaser, though owner Beth Martincic says he has not caught one yet.
“He is high energy, but he is very sweet,” Martincic said of the family pet she shares with her hus-band Ollie Martincic and their daughters, ages five and 9, in their Miami Lakes home.
Louie is closest to the youngest child.
“He’s like her little brother,” Martincic said. “He’s the best boy.”
When he isn’t hanging out with the girls, Louie is off chasing speedy reptiles, though he wouldn’t know what to do with one if he was successful.
Louie also constantly seeks physical affection. He will place himself under anyone’s hand, looking to be petted, she said.
“He pets himself with your hand, and if nobody is petting him, he finds a way,” Martincic said.
Despite having a desperate desire for affection, Louie has a wonderful attribute: He never barks.
