The Cabrera sisters took another tour around Europe last summer, during a 29-day, 2,500 mile road trip with their parents Annette and Jesus Cabrera of Miami Lakes.
It was the fourth vacation in France for Lauren Grace, 11, at right in the photo, and Lily Joy, 6. This time, they visited Monet’s gardens in Giverny; the medieval hilltop villages of Gordes and Menton in Provence and the city of Nice on the French Riviera.
They also saw Monaco and journeyed to Belgium. In the photo, the girls are standing in Market Square in Bruges in July while holding a copy of their community newspaper.
“They do love traveling, exploring, eating all kids of foods,” Jesus Cabrera said.
During previous trips to France they have seen the Chateau de Fontainebleau and Chateau Vaux-Le-Vicomte castles and the WW II D-Day memorials at Normandy.
Their parents have also taken them to Cancun; the Bahamas; Italy and England, too.
Cabrera thinks travel contributes to his daughters’ educations.
“They can speak about places their friends have never heard of,” he said.
