Renewed Miami Lakes Golf Course prepares for November opening

The Miami Lakes Golf Course is nearing completion of a $12 million renovation.

Golfers will enjoy a private club experience at this 63-year-old town landmark that is open to players of all skill levels.

Golfers may be able to test out the new course as soon as November, Project Manager Danny Martinez said.

What they’ll notice are new greens with new contours that will make play more fun. Drainage was also replaced so that the back 9 holes will not flood after heavy rains.

The driving range will reopen by June; summer golf camp for kids will be held there and starts on June 9.

Club members will eventually be able to enjoy a private lounge and indoor golf simulators when the new clubhouse opens.

Construction on that building is to begin later this year, Martinez said.

Another amenity is that club members will have a 14-day advance booking window to reserve tee times, while members of the general public will be able to reserve tee times five days before play day.

The club will have limited membership opportunities and the pro shop can provide more information about openings and rates.  The pro shop can be reached at 305-820-8088.

The Miami Lakes Golf Club is at 7601 Miami Lakes Dr, Miami Lakes, Florida 33014.  To watch progress of the course rebuilding project and see videos recorded by drone cameras, follow on Instagram,
