Clinical Trials

       Two COVID-19 treatment and prevention studies by Johns Hopkins University, in collaboration with the University of Miami Health System, are seeking people recently exposed to the coronavirus or those diagnosed with it. Clinical trials will assess whether convalescent blood plasma is effective as an outpatient treatment. Organizers hope to enroll essential workers, health care workers, home aides, elderly persons and parents/caregivers of children. Meals for Kids

Free Grab and Go Meals Miami Dade County Library, Miami Lakes branch, Fridays through June 4, 1 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Seven breakfasts and lunches provided by Sisters for Abundant Living. Bring student ID, report card or VPK registration. Other locations.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools provides free breakfast and lunch for all students.

Meals will be available for pick-up from all schools, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., through the end of the school year.

Parents/Guardians must provide student identification numbers at pick-up if the child is not with them. Those with multiple children may pick up meals at one location.
