The Trelles Cottage boutique celebrated her store with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Aug. 6. Owner Kimberly Trelles sells housewares, jewelry, gifts and clothing in the shop at 8140 NW 155th St. that is open Saturdays. Some products have humorous Cuban and Miami Lakes themes, and cow print is prevalent.
“I want to thank Kim and [husband] Dan [Trelles] for choosing Miami Lakes to not only live, but to work and to play,” Mayor Josh Dieguez said. He called Trelles a model citizen. She donates a portion of sales to autism charities and serves as secretary for the town’s Special Needs Advisory Board.
