Salsa Fiesta, South Florida’s homegrown Mexican fast-casual concept, expanded to a sixth location in Miami Lakes which officially opened to the public on Monday, February 2. Established in Caracas, Venezuela in 2003 by Cesar Olivo, Adriana Perez Benatar and Samuel Perez Benatar, the family-owned restaurant opened at 6769 Main Street in Town Center.

New to the concept, the Miami Lakes location will offer tableside service, a first for the South Florida eatery. During dinner service from Monday through Friday after 5 p.m. and all day on Saturday and Sunday – guests will be able to enjoy tableside service as opposed to ordering at the counter in keeping with traditional fast-casual dining.

“We’ve been playing with the idea of tableside service for some time and believe that our new location would be the perfect place to introduce it,” says Olivo. “Our guests’ comfort and enjoyment are our foremost concern, and we are excited to offer the additional element of tableside service, which will provide a more upscale experience at no extra cost and still stay true to the quality and price point they’ve come to know and love. This is a first for Salsa Fiesta as well as for the fast-casual industry here in South Florida.”

Counter service will continue to be available during weekday lunch. After 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on the weelends, Salsa Fiesta's signature dining fare will turning interactive with innovations such as tableside guacamole, also new to Salsa Fiesta.

The Miami Lakes menu will features dishes for any Mexican food lover’s palate, including burritos and bowls, tostadas, and enchiladas. Like its sister restaurants, Miami Lakes will also offer authentic Mexican sandwiches including Pepito (steak, chipotle beans, poblano rajas, chihuahua cheese, chimichurri and arugula); and Veracruz (fish, chipotle beans, mango, cabbage, pickled onions, cilantro cream and arugula).

Diners can also wash down their bites with frozen margaritas, red and white wine and aguas frescas in horchata, tamarindo and Jamaica flavors.

Salsa Fiesta Miami Lakes features a retro vibe and décor unlike the urban design found in its sister locations. A local Wynwood artist hand-painted the store’s walls, injecting an authentic Mexican feel into the space. The 100-seat restaurant, offering ample indoor and outdoor seating, will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to midnight.
