Save the date for charity car show

    The Miami Lakes Cars for a Cure cancer research fundraiser is coming back for a seventh year on April 2. 

     Enjoy seeing classic cars along Main Street and cool off in the beer garden. 

     For a $30 donation, auto aficionados can enjoy a pig roast, beverages from local brewers and live music. 

     Returning performers are Ricky Valido and the Mantrap band. The event on the first Sunday in April happens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

     Beautiful rides from many eras -- including vintage fire trucks and police cars from local municipalities – will be on display in downtown Miami Lakes. 

      Proceeds will benefit the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center; last year $35,000 was donated.
