Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee (EAC) announced the 8th Annual Senior Games events will take place during May. Anyone 50 and over is invited to participate.
The Senior Games will kick off with the Track and Field events starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Dade Christian School, 6601 N.W. 167 Street.
“Miami Lakes has a significant elderly population and I am proud to support the efforts of the EAC to encourage our seniors to stay active and engaged in their daily lives,” said Councilmember Frank Mingo. “I look forward to seeing many familiar faces and their bring their “A” game to the competitions.”
Dates for the Bunco, Duplicate Bridge, Softball, Canasta, Basketball and Domino tournaments will be announced at a later date.
