Shula's Golf Club hosts Barry University's Golf Invitational

Shula’s Golf Club hosted the 2015 Barry University Women’s Golf Invitational on March 16 and 17. The event included 15 schools:  Arkansas Tech, Barry, Concordia-St. Paul, Flagler, Florida Southern, Florida Tech, Johnson & Wales, Lee, Lynn, Nova Southeastern, Palm Beach Atlantic, Rollins, St. Edwards, St. Leo, and West Florida.  

The event was a 54-hole stroke play event played over two days. Nova Southeastern took the lead after 36 holes with a +6 over par total of 582. Barry University came in fourth at 592. Sarah Thomas from Florida Tech recorded an ace on the 13th hole. 

Rollins College won the event with score of 874 (+10 over par). Annie Dulman, from Rollins, won the individual honors with scores of 66, 73, & 74 (-3 under par) total of 213. 

Francesca Perini, from Barry, finished second with scores of 72, 71, & 73 (even par) total of 216.  Other Barry players included: Nancy Vergara (72, 75, 77 - 224 total), Martina Bertoccioli (76, 77, 75 – 228 total), Maria Paola Fiorio (76, 77, 76 – 229 total) and Houria Elabbadi 76, 77, 77 – 230 total).     

The Lady Buccaneers travel to Sonoma on April 5 to play in the Sonoma State Spring Preview.
