Six students from Barbara Goleman Senior High School are Posse Scholarship Semifinalists.
The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate good interpersonal skills, earned high test scores and other accomplishments.
Students who win the scholarship will receive $250,000 to attend Pomona University; Davidson College; Franklin & Marshall College; Hamilton College; Syracuse University or Mount Holyoke College.
Winners must be willing to attend college out of state and will have the costs of their academics fully covered, said Kelly Zaher, College Assistance Program Advisor at the school.
Finalists will be announced in December. Goleman has produced 10 Posse Scholars since 2010, Zaher said.
