The Spa at Shula’s celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year and in addition to its Aveda product line, the Spa is now offering the completely organic and handmade skin care line from Hungary – Eminence.

Linda Higgs, Spa director, personally tests the products the Spa offers to customers to be certain of the quality of the product. With the Eminence line, Higgs is overjoyed.

“We are really all about natural skin care, so when we wanted to expand, my love for Eminence fit nicely with our Aveda products since both are natural and environmentally conscious lines,” said Higgs.

With 95 percent active ingredients, the Eminence skin care line is sure to satisfy. Among the products on the shelf are focuses on anti-aging, hyper pigmentation, sunscreen, eye creams, serums, exfoliating peels, and acne-prone skin. Nearly all the products retail under $60 for full-sized containers whose ingredients are very concentrated and derived from fruits and plants for coloration and fragrances.

The Eminence products contain no preservatives, no by-products, no fillers and no parabens. The organic nature of the products begin in the farming. Ingredients are first grown in organic and biodynamic farming methods that do not use petroleum, harsh pesticides or fertilizers. The ingredients are planted following the lunar cycle to ensure perfect growth and once grown are handpicked and hand-processed in Hungary within small batches.

“Our staff has come alive from this launch,” said Higgs. “The estheticians are really enjoying working with the products and seeing the skin transformations on our customers.”

To introduce the Eminence brand, the Spa at Shula’s hosted a launch event on October 24 with champagne, product samples, skin consultations, free organic facials and raffles.

The natural approach does not end in the product itself as the Eminence brand also plants a tree for every product purchased. So far the Spa at Shula’s alone is responsible for the planting of 573 trees. Additionally, a portion of each purchase goes toward the program Eminence Kids, which delivers nutritious and organic meals to children in hospitals.

With the holiday season fast approaching, the Spa at Shula’s will be offering their “Pure Karma” promotion where for every $100 gift certificate purchased, a $10 gift certificate is given.
