Summerfest Concert at MLUMC

The Symphony of the Americas, a designated Major Cultural Institution in Broward County and a performance partner with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, presents internationally acclaimed guest artists from around the globe during July and August in its acclaimed Summerfest music festival in performances throughout Florida and the Americas.
Summerfest comes to Miami Lakes for a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 at the Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 N.W. 67 Avenue.
Summerfest traditionally features musicians and soloists from acclaimed orchestras throughout Europe including Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Opera Orchestra of Bulgaria, Mission Symphony Orchestra of Switzerland, Orchestra de la Suisse Romande and others, performing several styles of classical and popular music for strings, all joined in a cultural exchange by principal musicians of the Symphony of the Americas.
Attendees can nourish their artistic souls under the baton of Artistic Director Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese in the music of Hubert Parry, Vivaldi, Humperdinck, Beethoven, Rartini,, Dvorak and Mozart.
Included also is a commissioned composition by Italian composer in residence Lorezo Turchi-Floris for marimba and string orchestra. Soloists include Summerfest Concertmaster Orlando Forte of Cuba, Symphony of the Americas principal trumpet Claudio Osorio, Concertmaster of the Naples Philharmonic Glenn Basham, and acclaimed international organist Tim Brumfield, among others.
