Gloria Garcia, team captain of Team Mayoyi, in honor of Maria D. Garcia who lost her battle to cancer at 38 years old, is pictured with friends and family during the Miami Lakes Relay for Life at Optimist Park on May 2. Gloria Garcia, who has participated with the Relay for Life committee for many years, was chairperson for the 2015 event which attracted numerous teams and individuals to honor the memory of those who have succumbed to the disease, those who have survived, and to raise funds for the benefit of the American Cancer Society.
