A Miami Lakes tradition happens every fall, when Hope Miami Lakes United Methodist Church welcomes children of all ages to its Pumpkin Patch.

Ticket sales at the farm-like setting at the corner of Miami Lakes Drive and Ludlam Road fund the church’s community outreach and mission programs.

The 24th Annual Pumpkin Patch will be held Oct. 1 – 31, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 Monday – Thursday and cost $7 on Fridays and weekends.

On Halloween, admission is $10. Children 12 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult.

Each ticket includes a $2 coupon toward a pumpkin or gourd of higher value.

Weekend visitors may purchase roasted corn; face painting; digital photos; baked goods; gourmet hot dogs and shaved ice.

The Big Joey Magic Showy also happens during weekends. On Oct. 22, Flanigan’s Dinner and Show of Illusion will be held at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $12 and includes dining options from Flanigan’s Seafood Bar & Grill food truck.

School field trips on weekdays cost $10 per child. The price includes snacks, a coin for a free kid’s meal at Flanigan’s and a mini pumpkin.  Youngsters can enjoy a playground with tunnels, an obstacle course, sing songs and navigate a corn maze.

In addition to Flanigan’s, sponsors include The Graham Companies; Miami Lakes AutoMall; Miami Mom Collective; DEI Foodservice Equipment & Design; Extreme Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation; Vicky Bakery; Forever Signs; Total Maintenance Group; The Elias Law Firm; Stainless Depot & Associates and FastSigns Fort Lauderdale.

The church is at 14800 NW 67th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
