The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative of Miami Lakes promotes prevention and early detection of breast cancer and heart disease and serves at risk and low-income women.
The non-profit has two big events coming up: The Pink Walk 5K Run and Walk at Miami Dade College’s North Campus on Sept. 24, and the B Fore Pink 12th Annual Breast Cancer Golf Tournament, held at the Miami Lakes Golf Club on Oct. 6.
The 5K Run and Walk costs $35. Participants get a T-shirt and finisher medal.
The race can also be run virtually.
MDC is the host sponsor and its north campus is at 11380 NW 27th Ave. in Miami.
