The seven candidates running for three seats on the Miami Lakes town council will appear at a forum on Oct.3.
Three candidates are vying for outgoing Vice Mayor Jeffrey Rodriguez’s Seat 2: Ray Garcia, Ian Anthony Medina and William Perez.
Incumbents Josh Dieguez and Carlos O. Alvarez are trying to retain their positions on the dais.
Dieguez, who is in Seat 4, is being challenged by Miguel Comesana. Alvarez represents Seat 6, which is also being sought by Angelo Garcia Cuadra.
Once again, former Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas will moderate.
The forum will be held in council chambers at Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6001 Main St. Residents are encouraged to attend.
Those who cannot attend in person may watch a live stream on the town’s website and YouTube and Facebook pages. The video will also be available after the event.
Early voting begins Oct. 24 and runs through Nov. 6 for the general election on Nov. 8.
