Town salutes grads with banners

Congratulations to the Class of 2020!

Although graduations have been cancelled during the coronavirus outbreak and seniors won't be able to walk across a stage, there is still a way to commemorate their hard work.

The Town of Miami Lakes is offering banners for high school seniors who live in town. The banners will hang for three months from light posts along Miami Lakes Drive.

A banner costs $105 and will display the senior's photo, first and last names and the name of his or her high school.

The deadline to order a banner is June 7. Once the keepsakes are taken down later this year, and families will be able to keep them.
