The Town of Miami Lakes is seeking resident’s input to run bus service on Sundays.
Vice Mayor Manny Cid and Town Planner Brandon Schaad recently met with a group of residents who are daily users of the on-demand bus and they are interested in extending the bus service to Sundays, especially to attend religious services.
Currently the on-demand bus service runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., is free, and requires a 24-hour call-ahead reservation. It is funded from the Town’s General Fund.
To determine if there is enough demand for the increased service, residents who are interested in using the Sunday bus service are asked to contact Transportation Coordinator Hector Soliman Valdez at 305-364-6100, ext. 1145, or solimanh@miamilakes-fl.gov.
