The Miami Lakes nonprofit Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative is offering free mammograms to women who make an appointment for June 23.
Jackson Health System will perform the screenings at the Fresco & Mas parking lot, 1630 W. 49th St. in Hialeah, in the Westland Commons shopping center.
Those without appointments will not be able to get the test.

Patients will also receive Macy’s gift cards that day.
“Our summer breast cancer campaign on National Pink Day reminds women that ‘You matter. Get your mammogram,’ and practice disease prevention and early detection,” Andrea Ivory, founder and executive director of the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative, said in an email.
“Breast cancer is diagnosed year-round, but the good news is that early detection and disease deterrent lifestyles help transform and save lives,” she said.
