Events hosted by two Miami Lakes’ citizen committees, the Elderly Affairs Committee’s Senior Health and Wellness Fair, and the Youth Activities Task Force’s Fit Fair, are merging to present a family event – the first annual Town of Miami Lakes Health & Fitness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, at Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.
All health, wellness, and fitness-related businesses and organizations have been invited to participate in the event to provide educational information, screenings, or health awareness activities.
Booth spaces are still available for $25. Space is limited and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Deadline to sponsor or exhibit is August 14.
Joining the two committees as event sponsors are Palmetto General Hospital, Caballero Rivero and VITAS Healthcare.
