BGEC students recognized at STEAM Scholars banquet

Miami-Dade County Public School Division of Academics held its annual Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Scholars Banquet in late May. Bob Graham Education Center students Alejandro Fernandez, Roberto Martinez and Valentin Velazco-Pryce were recognized for representing the district, state and country for their abilities in VEX IQ robotics.  

During the robotic season, they won the Excellence Award, Skills Challenge Award, Teamwork Challenge Award and competed at the World’s VEX IQ Competition. The administration and community are extremely proud of all that they’ve accomplished in the two years they’ve participated in the Robocats Academy. Special recognition goes to their teacher and coach, Marilyn Dieppa.
