Psychologist Dr. Jessica J. Ruiz has joined Comprehensive Assessment Center (CAC), the psychology practice of Dr. Tania Diaz, located in the Miami Lakes Crexent Center.
A former Miami Lakes resident, Ruiz is the daughter of Rosa Ruiz and Alex Ruiz, manager of The Keyes Company Welcome Center on Main Street.
She obtained her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University and completed her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training at Yale University’s School of Medicine where she later joined the clinical faculty.
Ruiz’s clinical training and experiences have focused on providing evidence-based, motivational interventions for clients seeking to improve their mental health and/or change behaviors that have become problematic such as substance use, gambling and other compulsive behaviors.
As a clinical supervisor, educator and Motivational Interviewing Trainer, Ruiz joined CAC in March. The Center, which has been in operation for 10 years, is located at 6625 Miami Lakes Drive East, Suite 328, and is open on Saturdays to accommodate patients’ schedules and emergency requests.
