Hilda Pinate, a senior at Miami Lakes Educational Center, was honored on December 13 as the Student of the Week by radio station 99.1 FM (99 JAMZ). The station recognizes outstanding high school students from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The selection is based not only on outstanding GPA but also for representing their school, family and community in a positive way. Pinate was honored for her academic success and community service.
