Our Lady of the Lakes varsity baseball team clinched the All Catholic Conference (ACC) North Division Title on April 11 as the team defeated Immaculate Conception, 3-1, in seven innings.
The team was led offensively by Andres Gancedo who went 2 for 4 with a single in the fourth inning and a triple in the sixth inning.
Bailey Mantilla’s 14 strikeouts were enough to push the Cheetahs past Immaculate. Mantilla allowed one earned run, two hits and no walks over five innings.
The Cheetahs kept the lead after the second inning when they scored two runs on an error and an RBI single by Jose Gonzalez. Andres Vega came in as relief and struck out two with no walks to get the save. The team finished the season at 5-1.
