Annual Reindeer Run benefits veterans scholarship program

  The Reindeer Run 5K presented by Headquarter Toyota to benefit the Miami Lakes Veterans Committee attracted runners to Business Park West and Veterans Park on Dec. 14. The veterans use funds raised for the Miami Lakes Veterans Families Scholarship as well as other projects in town. Miami Lakes Athletic Club supports cancer care, education

     The Miami Lakes Athletic Club donated $500 to the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative on Dec. 18.  The athletic club held events in October to raise awareness about breast cancer and accept members’ donations for the cause.
