Elevate Church of Miami Lakes, 6250 Miami Lakes Drive., hosted a free family friendly New Year’s Day event from 1 to 5 p.m. featuring music, games, carnival rides, crafts, face painting, food, bounce houses and prizes. The church hopes to give back to the community with events such as the New Year’s Family Fest. Pictured are the volunteers who contibuted to making the event successful.
